Can I share cases I have uploaded with colleagues from my institute?

Yes, if you are the owner of a case in GestaltMatcher Database (GMDB), you can share it with colleagues from your institute, practice or laboratory.

To do this, you can define a user group and assign access to specific colleagues.

How to share a case:

1. Go to My Data → My User groups.
2. Create a new user group and add the usernames of your colleagues.
3. Then, go to the case you would like to share (My Data → My Patients).
4. At the bottom of the page, click Add Member and enter the name of your user group and click Add. Alternatively, you can also share a case with a single user, click Add Member and enter their username.

Access rights:

• If you create the user group, you will be the Leader. You can add and remove users to the group and assign them new roles (Member or Reader).
• Members of a user group will have the same access rights to the case as you, the Leader.
• Readers will have view-only access. This role is planned but not yet available. Please check back later for updates on this feature.

User groups (used for access sharing) are NOT the same as Groups, which appear alongside Gallery and My Data in the navigation bar. These are used to organize cases by patient support groups.
