Where is the data stored and how long is it retained?

When using the analysis tool within GestaltMatcher Database (GMDB) to analyze a photo (My Data → Analyze patient), the photo is not stored at all beyond the immediate analysis.
Photos analyzed with the GestaltMatcher app (Android | Apple) are temporarily stored on our servers until you delete the analysis yourself. You can find past analyses in the Archive, which lets you review them later, for example while completing the patient’s chart even after the patient is no longer present.

GestaltMatcher Database is hosted on servers located at the University Hospital Bonn. GestaltMatcher AI is hosted on Microsoft Azure using a containerized environment in an Azure region within the European Economic Area (EEA).
We also offer an on-premise solution that allows you to run GestaltMatcher AI entirely within your own IT infrastructure. In this setup, analyzed photos remain within your local environment and are never sent to our servers.
