How can I invite patients to sign digital consent or upload photos themselves?
GestaltMatcher Database (GMDB) allows you to invite patients to:
- Sign the digital consent form, and/or
- Upload their own photos directly into the database.
There are two main ways to invite patients, depending on whether the patient was already uploaded as a case in GMDB or not:
The patient is already a case in GMDB:
- Go to My Data → My Patients and open the patient's case by clicking on the Enter button (square and arrow next to the column labelled Consent).
- At the top of the case, you will find the following options:
- Invite by mail: Send a personalized invitation via email.
- Invite by link or QR code: Generate a one-time invitation link or QR code you can copy and send to your patient.
- Sign consent: Invite the patient to review and sign the digital consent form.
Once the patient creates their own account, they can upload their photos and/or sign the consent securely.
The patient is not yet a case in GMDB:
- Click your email address in the top right corner and select Bulk invite from the drop-down menu.
- Enter one or multiple email addresses, separated by commas, semicolons, or spaces.
- Important: Make sure to check the box Invitees are patients before submitting.
- After submitting, entries for these patients will automatically appear under My Patients, and each patient will receive an email invitation to create their own account.
This process ensures that patients can submit their information securely, at their own convenience, and in line with data protection standards.
