Yes, GestaltMatcher has broad consent from participants and approval (ID 386/17) from the ethics committee of the Medical Faculty at the University of Bonn.

Depending on your institution’s requirements, you may also need approval from your local ethics committee. We can assist you with this by providing our documentation and additional information.

If you want to use the data of GestaltMatcher Database for your own research project, especially if it involves human subject research, please note that it may not be covered under our ethical approval. This is why we have a formal process in which you must submit a research proposal to our Scientific Advisory Board.
