Why are my analyzed photos still visible in the app?

Photos analyzed with the GestaltMatcher app (Android | Apple) are temporarily stored on our servers until you delete the analysis yourself. You can find your past analyses back under Archive, which allows you to review them later, for example while completing the patient’s chart even after the patient is no longer present.

In contrast, if you analyze a photo using the analysis tool within GestaltMatcher Database (GMDB) by going to My DataAnalyze patient, the photo is not stored at all beyond the immediate analysis.

Thus, if you are concerned about photos being stored on the servers when using the app, you can choose to analyze images directly in GMDB instead.

Photos that have been analyzed are never automatically uploaded to GMDB. They are only visible to other users and stored on our servers long-term if you explicitly create a case in GMDB.
